Scorn is an immersive first-person horror adventure game set in a bizarre universe full with bizarre forms and a dark tapestry.
The game is based on the idea of “being plunged into the unknown”. Isolated and lost inside this virtual world, players will discover interconnected areas in a non-linear fashion. This mysterious setting has an entire character.
Each place has an individual theme (story) along with puzzles, and characters which are vital in creating a cohesive world. Through the course of the game, you’ll discover new places, acquire different skill sets weaponry, items, and other weapons and work to make sense of the world you are presented with.
GAMEPLAY PRODUCTS
The cohesion of the “lived within” universe. Scorn is set in an open-world that contains various interconnected areas. Each area is an intricate design that gives you a range of rooms and different paths. It’s all told within the game. There aren’t any cut scenes to distract from the grim reality of the world. Make sure to keep an eye on things – the game will not show any sympathy for you in the event that something gets missed during your wanderings. Everything serves a function and a reason. You just have to figure out why.
Full body awareness: Participants will feel more immersed by being conscious of their character’s movements and the body. The interaction with the environment is authentic – objects are grasped by your hands (instead of being floating in midair) Instruments, machines and other devices are controlled by gripping the controls etc.
It’s limited and defined in terms of control of ammunition and inventory. It’s an important factor in keeping the player at a higher level of awareness throughout the whole game. The player will need to think about when to fight, when they can be safe, and the impact their actions have on the environment. Diverse play styles will be needed to advance.
